His title, "Four Bloods" comes from two parts of his individual fighting style. It comes from his signature "four-sword" fighting style. In fact most people believe that's all this title comes from. In fact the "Bloods" part of the title comes from the Ikeda's ability to control their blood as a form of attack. Shichirou can control his blood so well, he regularly mixes it in with his swordsmanship in combat.
(most commonly) "The Harbinger of Red" or simply "The Harbinger" or "Harbinger Shichirou":
This title comes from the fact that he brings a "cloud of red" when he fights. Not only his numerous fire jutsus, but also from his blood Kekkei Genkai. "The Harbinger" part just means that he is going to bring the pain on his enemy. It means you have no chance of winning. "Red" means the blood (whether his or yours) you will soon be seeing.

General Appearance: Schihirou isn't often seen with his armor off, but if he is, it would be noted that he is a very well-built man. His body and muscles are perfectly sculpted for combat. His physical form is at its absolute peak and cannot be matched. His skin is a dark tan color and his hair is short, and spiky and is a very soft, light cream color, his eyes are unusual in that they are cool pools of deep blue without a noticeable pupil. His eyes are outlined in black and that outline is outlined in orange. His fingernails are painted orange.
Being the Kazekage, Schihirou is usually almost always ready for an attack or anything worse. That is why he is very rarely ever seen without his armor on (although he doesn't always wear his mask and his hood isn't always up). His armor is pretty recognizable for how different it is. The colors it consists mainly of are oranges, tans, browns, and grays. Its an armor he always uses for battle. So he is pretty recognizable on the battlefield. There are seven noticeable eye-like designs on his armor, on his upper chest. One of the seven is on his forehead. Even more interesting is what these seven designs symbolize. Right under each of these eye-symbols are seven tattoos on his skin. These seven tattoos are actually seals. However since he rarely ever takes off his armor, these seals are rarely seen. The seals are the same design, with an eye-like appearance. When the seals are opened, the eyes are opened and appear to be crying blood-tears, due to the fact they have to be stabbed to be opened. Just as noticeable as the seven designs are the four swords strapped to his back. These swords are for his main fighting style. He is incredibly skilled with his "four sword style" and it is where part of his "Four Bloods" title comes from.
When Shichirou doesn't wear his armor he wears average sand Village garb. Although his has orange and black coloring. Occasionally his average-citizen clothes still have the eye-like symbols on them. Shichirou may not be very successful with the ladies, but he is considered handsome. His deep pupil-less blue eyes are incredibly warm and mesmerizing and the color of his hair is cute and gentle.

Overall Personality: Shichirou has had a tough upbringing and experienced tough training regimes. Added upon those he has seen many tragedies and been at the front of terrible experiences. Thus his attitude has been warped to match those experiences. He has a tough outer shell and is usually all business, long since giving up on bonds and forming friendships. Instead he focuses all his efforts and being on fulfilling his duty as Kage and leader and protector of the Sand Village.
His utmost highest held virtue is respect. He respects everyone, unless they do something to warrant his disrespect, which isn't an easy feat to do. At the same time, he believes everyone should respect him, not only because of his standing as Kage, but because he is a human being. Still, he has done something terrible in his past. Only two people know of this. While he still experiences their respect, he knows he doesn't deserve it. It shames him every time he thinks of it, every time they show him the respect he doesn't deserve from them.
Shichirou has a very tough exterior. His personality usually keeps people at arms distance. Despite being respected, he isn't very likable, and even worst still, he has trouble forming close relationships. He may be a tough cookie to crack, but he isn't very hard to get flustered. Especially when it comes to women. Its the least to say "he has trouble with them". The only real language he knows is "fighting". He has had several flings, but due to his stoic, reserved personality, and possibly other reasons... it would never work out, and the women leave. It pains him, but even that pain, he has a tough time showing.
About the only thing Shichirou enjoys is having a nice, drawn-out fight with a tough shinobi. Not many ninja can match his strength (even disregarding his standing as Kage), so its rare that he gets to experience the rush of battle. If only there was a woman out there, who could speak to him through the art of battle. He tends to use his wit and words to enrage his opponents. He at times can be quite sarcastic.
Still, Shichirou has learned from the mistakes of his past and from his various experiences. He does try his best. And while he may not always exceed expectations, or even meet them, it is commendable for how he tries so hard. Everyone makes mistakes, and he knows one can only grow from getting through the tough times that follow those mistakes. Those mistakes will eventually fade, but their lessons would always remain. If they didn't then one would be considered a disappointment. Shichirou intends to never feel those debilitating feelings again. He intends to keep on going with his life, trying his hardest and doing his best so he can be a Kage everyone can be proud of.

Shichirou was born to Kuro and Yumi Ikeda. Only Kuro was a Ikeda member, Yumi just took the last name. Kuro was a surviving Ikeda from the Ikeda Clan massacre. Both parents realized at the very beginning that Shichirou had a large chakra pool and had a great affinity for the fire nature. Even at such a young age fire came more than naturally to him. He was proficient at ninjutsu from a very young age as well. As a toddler, Shichirou would accidentally catch things on fire, which would always freak his parents out. They thought he posed a great danger to himself, since as a young child he didn't recognize any danger he could accidentally pose on himself.
In fact, Shichirou was so advanced with ninjutsu, by age 6 he had already mastered most of the ninjutsus the Academy trained its students in. And he hadn't even tried to master them. Not only was his chakra pool large, but he inadvertently had great control over it, too. By 10 he would walk around, playing with fire as if it was an extension of his very body. Sometime, around the age of 6, he got severely injured while out on one of his many "adventures". His blood was seeping out everywhere, and Shichirou actually thought he was going to die. Although, at that young an age he didn't really understand what "dying" meant exactly. Still, "dying" always scared someone. This was the time the young boy realized his control over his own blood. The realization was short lived though, as his wound was great. A lot of his blood was spilling out. He would soon lose control over his very body.
With so much blood loss, it didn't take long for his chakra and blood to intertwine and meld together. The young six-year old was a "young tailed beast". With his unnatural fire affinty, his blood began to boil, and even catch fire. It wasn't until much later in life that he realized this was his greatest ability, that he would eventually dub "Supernova". Anyway, he went out of control with fury. The six year old began to attack and go on a rampage. Being 6 he wasn't exactly a huge threat, but that wasn't the problem his parents and others had. It was the fact that he was so young. His parents and other officials had a problem figuring out how to put their child out, without seriously injuring him, and what was worse, the "Supernova" form was dangerous in of itself. They had to find a way to put the child out, despite his raging form, and get him to a hospital, he was seriously injured.
Eventually they got Shichirou back to normal. The young child was close to death, but that wasn't all of it. In his rampage he had damaged a great portion of the city. No one had been seriously injured, but it was a wake-up call to the dangers of the Ikeda clan, which had long-since been forgotten. In the years that followed Shichirou gradually learned to control his blood, his Kekkei Genkai. However, he never forgot that day when he rampaged. At some point, he questioned his father about their clan.
Kuro explained the history of the Ikeda to him, and emphasized the dangerous nature of their Kekkei Genkai. Knowing this, Shichirou promised that he would come in full control over his natural abilities. So that was when he began studying up on Fuuinjutsu. At age 12 he was a Chuunin and at age 15 he was Jonin level. Age 18 he learned of the Seven-pronged seal of the Ancients. It was an outrageous seal that was not only outdated (even though its sealing ability was profound), but it was dangerous to the user (which was why it was outdated), which meant it couldn't be any more perfect for an Ikeda. Soon he had the seals etched into his skin, sealing his Kekkei Genkai and a portion of his chakra away. He knew his ability was dangerous, but could also be his greatest weapon. He had trained in controlling his Kekkei Genkai, but he kept the seal just in case.
In the Academy, Shichirou was an excellent student. He had already mastered chakra control, and most of the ninjutsu needed in his classes. The only area he struggled with was genjutsu. In any case, Shichirou was able to focus completely on his studies. The other kids generally stayed away from him. They had heard - and even a few had witnessed - his rampage. They feared his strange ability. So Shichirou didn't make many friends, and his attitude grew to show that. He soon became a more reserved individual. Even though others were generally cold to him, they weren't mean or anything, he grew to respect them, even though they weren't exactly his friends.
During his time at the Academy he had a fairly good, leisurely time. But back at home, it was a completely different story. Kuro, his father, was interested in keeping his son under control. So every day after school, Kuro would personally take his son on training sessions. These training sessions weren't for pushovers and as Shichirou grew older and stronger, the training sessions got progressively harder and more intense. Shichirou went off at the age of 20 with a high-ranking, strong shinobi, of the Sand Village, on a mission. On this mission, he underwent hard training with this shinobi.
The shinobi's name was Masahiro, a shinobi that was said to be on Sannin level. This was a very dangerous mission, classified at SS. Their mission was to go to the Land of Lightning after a missing-nin, who was also an S rank ninja. They were to get back the valuable information and secrets on the Land of Wind and Sunakagure, that the missing-nin had stolen and taken with him. It was a very dangerous mission because there was intel that the missing-nin had strong allies from Kumokagure. Along the way Shichirou became interested in Masahiro's unusual fighting style, which was a mixture of swordsmanship and taijutsu, with specks of ninjutsu thrown in. Pressing the ninja on Sannin level, Shichirou finally got Masahiro to agree to train him in what he could.
True to his word, during their time together, during the mission, Masahiro taught Shichirou how to use a blade and taijutsu. He was surprised at the way Shichirou caught on to things so quickly, even during the tough training Masahiro subjected Shichirou to. Within the month the Ikeda had mastered his temporary-sensei's four-sword style. Quite frankly, Masahiro thought it was remarkable. The mission lasted a few months. It took Masahiro and Shichirou a while to hunt down that missing-nin. Turns out he hadn't yet given Kumokagure the info on the Land of Wind yet, he was using it as leverage to secure a more stable position for himself. When they located the missin-nin finally, a great battle ensued between the missing-nin and his friends from Kumokagure, against Masahiro and Shichirou.
At the end of the conflict, Shichirou managed to get the intel back, and capture the deserter, but the deserter and his friends were strong ninja. Shichirou was a strong ninja, but admittedly this battle was his greatest shame. At least it would be his greatest shame until another failure not far into the future. In any case, Masahiro took the bulk of the attacks from the enemy, and in the end, the mission had cost Masahiro his life. Shichirou made it back to the Sand Village, with the missing-nin, the intel on his village, with his temporary-sensei's body, and a very heavy heart. He hadn't known Masahiro long, but the Ikeda had finally formed a bond with another person. He vowed to keep Masahiro's spirit alive, by primarily using his combat style, the four-sword style.
Before Masahiro died, he laid there, looking up at Shichirou. He said a few heartfelt words, that would stay with Shichirou forever. He also entrusted his temp-student with his number-one blade: The Yusai Blade. Masahiro entrusted him with his legendary sword. Shichirou considers the Yusai Blade as one of his most prized possessions. He sealed the amazing sword away, so he could summon in the middle of battle if he ever was in need of the blade's power.
After Masahiro's death, Shichirou found himself next to the Kazekage, in place of his late sensei. Shichirou provided a competent replacement. He wasn't quite as skilled, or as cunning as Masahiro, but Shichirou was strong, and useful. Shichirou caught up on some techniques the Kazekage used, and went on more insane missions. Within another 3 years - which would put Shichirou at the age of 25 - he was on the level Masahiro had previously been, possibly even stronger. At this point the Kazekage told Shichirou that he would remain by his(or her) side, as his(or her) chief advisor and go-to man. Shichirou complied, saying it would be an honor to serve the Kazekage on such a level.
Around a year later, at the age of 26, Shichirou found himself on SS rank mission, with the Kazekage himself(or herself), and two of his previous teammates from the Academy and the Chuunin Exams (who were both Jonin themselves). It was a secret, but Shichirou had this huge crush on his former teammate, Akiko. She was a competent Kunoichi who had several accomplishments like Shichirou. She was a force to be reckoned with for sure. She became a Chuunin in the same exam Shichirou did. Shichirou had had a few flings as he was growing up, but in the end the girls he had been with had either found his stoic, and firm personality a bore, or a turn-off, or -in the case of one- found that they were still scared of him. "What if you freak-out and blow-up and go on a 'Tailed Beast-like rampage' again?" she had said. Which had not only hurt Shichirou, but had woken him up to reality. No girl would want a family with a man like him, who could blow his fuse any-time at all, and not only hurt his family, but the village and its citizens as well.
So basically, Shichirou had given up on ever marrying and having a family. How his father, Kuro, had caught his mother he would never know. Still.. here he was.. on a mission with his crush from his Academy years. He was sort of a stalker of Akiko, and knew personally that she didn't have a boyfriend. He also knew she had recently lost her brother. He had died on a mission he had gone on. She was probably still grieving for that. Akiko had never seemed fearful of Shichirou, in fact she seemed to like him pretty well. They had worked well together during the Chuunin Exams. Maybe this was the perfect time to have their relationship blossom more.
It was rare to see the Kage go on a mission, but Shichirou knew of the perilous danger they would face on this mission. Officially it was ranked SS, but in reality the rank of this mission would be like X or Z or something.. (probably). "So.. How you been?" Shichirou asked Akiko, as he leaped from tree to tree, next to her. "Oh.. Shichirou... I've been okay," she answered, giving him a small, delicate smile. Okay, it was a fact, this girl had captured Shichirou's heart. That smile, even though it wasn't very sincere, had melted the tough-man's interior. He would definitely try to win her heart on this mission. He may never get another chance again. Once he had promised himself that, he had set himself up for failure. Little did he know, after this mission, Akiko would never want another thing to do with him again.
As mentioned previously, on this X rank (or SS rank or whatever) mission, the squad was a usual four-man squad; Consisting of the Kazekage, Shichirou, Akiko, and Shichirou's other teammate from the Chuunin Exams. A handsome ninja by the name of Tadao. It was pretty obvious, from the Chuunin Exams that Tadao, too, had a thing for the beautiful Kunoichi, Akiko. It seemed as well that she had taken a notice in her previous teammate as well. This provoked jealousy deep inside Shichirou. He would attempt to win her heart, before that Tadao-guy did.
Throughout their mission Shichirou would make time to talk with Akiko. He aggressively targeted her, like she was the mission instead. One night, while a small fire crackled, next to a large rock, with the beautiful, expansive night-sky above their heads; Shichirou walked over to Akiko. "Hiya. So tomorrow we should be reaching the enemy.." he said casually. Or attempting his best to sound casual. "How do you think it'll go down? I.. Well I'm a bit nervous about it, I guess." She scoffed, with a short smile and a raised eyebrow, "Whaattt?! You? The Harbinger? Shichirou, scared of a battle? I think you are joshing," she said with a snicker. Damn, she was so cute and hot at all times. Tadao saw Shichirou attempting to make a score with 'his girl'. Angrily, he walked over and confronted the other man. Roughly he blurted out, as he swatted at Shichirou's arm, "What the hell man? Whats the deal? Akiko needs some time to herself. Respect that." At Tadao's words, Shichirou got angry as well, which was unusual for the usually calm man. He smacked Tadao back. "Look. Shes not your woman. Hands off! She's mine!"
Akiko stepped back, a look of disgust on her face. "She's what?" she hissed back, glaring at Shichirou. "I'm yours am I? I don't recall that ever happening." The situation had suddenly turned from bad to worse for Shichirou. Soon, a full-blown argument ensued between Shichirou and Tadao, and even Akiko was involved. It got so boisterous that the Kazekage walked over, saying, "What is this? Are you all in kindergarten?" That was how the four-man squad got their attention taken away from their surroundings. During their in-fighting, the enemy had managed to sneak up on them. It hadn't been hard. Normally it would have been easy to feel the enemy coming up, for every ninja from the Sand Village, but they were preoccupied. All four high-ranked ninja were caught completely off guard when the enemy launched their attack. Soon the in-fighting turned to out-fighting, focused instead on the enemy. Even though they had been surprised, they were all competent, high-level shinobi, so they quickly recovered and battled ferociously. Somehow the enemy knew that among their enemies would be the Harbinger of Red and the Kazekage himself. They were ready for their overwhelming power of their enemies. A grand battle happened that night, that lasted until morning.
Even though their enemies had been two high-level ninja, The Harbinger Shichirou and the Kazekage himself(or herself), their ambush had been deadly. This was de'ja'vu all over again for Shichirou. Tadao had been gravely wounded, but worse still, the Kazekage had been felled. It was unthinkable, but the Kazekage had died. That automatically appointed Shichirou has the leader of the mission. "Alright, that's it, time to head back. We cannot continue this mission, with the Lord Kazekage dead. We must return back to Sunagakure," he said as he turned to Akiko and Tadao (who was being supported by Akiko). His heart stopped momentarily, when he saw the girl's face. It was contorted with pain and anguish. She was supporting Tadao, but she may have been more hurt than him. She was bawling uncontrollably. "Of course we are heading back," she snarled angrily, despite her sad, pitiful appearance. "He(or she) was my father(or mother)," Akiko stated simply as she turned to go, still helping Tadao along.
She paused and glanced back, and it was unbelievable, but her face appeared even more hurt than before. Thats when she said the words that cut Shichirou more than anything had ever before, or since. "Why Shichirou? Why did you do this to me?" With that, the love of his life turned and left him, leaving him standing there alone with the dead Kazekage. His jealousy and loneliness had gotten the better of him. He knew the failure of this mission was all his fault, but worse, the death of the Kazekage - of his love's father (or mother) - had been all his fault. Now she would hate him forever. Shichirou picked up the Kazekage's body. This.. was an even greater shame than his failure with Masahiro. He hadn't only failed Akiko, the Kazekage, and himself, but he had failed the entire village.
When he returned to the village, everybody had been talking about the mission and how it was a huge failure. Word seemed to spread fast. He would find out later that Akiko and Tadao had left out the details of the mission that lead to it being a complete disaster, out of grace. After the burial of the Kazekage and after the funeral, a new Kazekage had to be appointed. The Village elders were all in unanimous agreement, that the best candidate for the job was Shichirou. He felt terrible taking the spot due to it being his fault the Kazekage had died, but at the same time, he felt like it was his duty to the late Kazekage: that he had to take it. He owed it to the Kazekage. To make up for his sin, he would serve the people of Sunakagure to the end of his life. When he accepted the title of Kazekage at the coronation, Shichirou caught Akiko's face. Behind her expressionless face, he saw anger, hurt, and disapproval, but as a shinobi, she said nothing. She merely bowed like everyone else and accepted that he was Kazekage. He could tell though, this turn of events upset her.
So, Shichirou became Kazekage. The beginning of his job was rough, but soon it smoothed out. He had learned a valuable lesson that day. He hadn't focused on the mission. He had focused on his own selfish feelings. It had caused the worse outcome in a mission possible. The death of a beloved shinobi. That beloved shinobi had not only been any beloved shinobi, but the Kazekage himself. Shichirou steeled himself even more, shutting himself off from the comforts and feelings of closeness of others. He would completely dedicate himself to being a ninja, to being the Kazekage, and to the people's wellbeing. As the years went by he still thought of Akiko, but aside from giving duties to her, and missions to her, he never spoke to her. Every time she saw it him it was with a stern, stout face and poise. Every word to him was along the lines of, "Yes, sir, Kazekage." This was the great Shichirou's life from now onward.

A great shinobi, wearing an unusual, yet recognizable armor appeared up on the top of the cliff. His face could not be seen, but he could see the scene below him. It took him only a moment to analyze the battlefield.
A second later he had been noticed. It hadn't even taken a moment for someone to spot the intimidating ninja. "The Harbinger of Red!" a ninja shouted, pointing up at the ninja up on the cliff.
Another repeated in surprise, "The Harbinger?"
"What is Harbinger Shichirou doing here?" yet another ninja gasped out. As a fourth voice shouted at the same time, "The Kazekage?"
In the next moment Shichirou unsheathed his swords as he leaped down. The sleek, refined steel made nice "shink" sounds as they were pulled from the sheaths. The Harbinger had wasted no time joining in the fray. It took only a second for Shichirou to land and rush forward into the battle.
He began cutting down enemy shinobi immediately, one after another. He made his way into a the center of the battle. "Great Fireball Technique!" Shichirou shouted as he leaped up into the air above the chaos. He spun around and a massive fireball erupted from his mouth and exploded beneath him. He launched another ninjutsu, "Earth Release: Destructive Rising Rock Pillars!" He didn't let up on his assault. The Kazekage used his next jutsu. This time a wind affinity jutsu. "Four Razing Currents!" A technique that sent out four bursts of violent wind, from four swords, after they had been swung.
The Kazekage landed and looked around. He observed his handiwork. He had made a huge dent in the enemy's forces. From his three jutsus, he had wiped out nearly half the enemy shinobi.

Description: The Ikeda looses all control and becomes a "tailed beast". Pretty much all the blood exits the Ikeda body and goes on a total rampage. At this point, the Ikeda has basically no control whatsoever, and usually cannot distinguish between friend or foe. When the aftermath of this is over, the Ikeda is either half-dead or dead. The place around appears to have been attacked by a Tailed-Beast, which is where the nickname for this Rage comes from. Most average ninja cannot survive this rampage.

The swords now not only resemble wings and claws, but dragon wings and dragon claws. The fire adds to the combat capabilities of the swords. The Fire can even cover the user as a protective field. Its a dangerous gamble, because the extensive heat can burn the user.

Description: A mixture of Shichirou's Blood Cloak from his bloodline limit, and "Emblazon: Dragon-Fire Form". In order for Shichirou to unleash this technique - due to its impressive, insane, devastating capabilities (as his final-form) - Shichirou must undue the seven seals on his body, which keep his chakra pool, and Kekkei Genkai sealed away. This is literally the "end-all" technique that is Shichirou's Trump Card. It is a mixture of his "Tailed Beast-size" chakra pool, his "Emblazon technique" and the "Blood Cloak" of his bloodline limit. No one who has seen this technique has ever lived. (He has only used it once). It poses great risk to the user. As an ability that cannot be bypassed or defeated, it is literally a "Trump Card", but the strain is so incredible, that it leaves Shichirou on Death's Door himself. It is also requires incredible mental ability to not only sustain, but control. It leaves the body of the user not just completely drained physically, but mentally, as well as spiritually. Appearance: He becomes shadows in a cloak of goopy red-blood, that takes on a demonic looking figure, with deep red flames on his body. White soul-less eyes and claws and a "flower" on his back thats made of blood with fire on it.

Description: An ancient, sadistic seal, that requires not only blood, but self-injury to undue. (Perfect for an Ikeda). In order to keep his enormous Chakra Pool, Kekkei Genkai, and his innate fire abilities in check Shichirou keeps them sealed away within him. To undo the seal he uses his four swords, plus three special kunai to undue the seal, by stabbing himself with the seven weapons. Once the seal is opened, it not only requires a massive amount of chakra to reseal, but for the wounds to completely heal as well. Otherwise the seal cannot be completed. However it is one of the strongest seals known, and since it requires self-injury, there is very little chance of it ever being broken. (Basically none).

Description:A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire, and expelled from the mouth either as a massive orb of roaring flame or as a continuous flame-thrower. The scope of the attack is altered by controlling the volume of chakra that is mustered. The released flames will engulf their target, and leave a crater on the ground's surface. This technique apparently requires more than average chakra reserves and most genin should not be able to do this technique.

Description: Usually the technique requires four of something swung, preferably a weapon, but arms and hands can be swung as well. Anyway, four swords are swung and chakra and wind element is applied behind the four swings. Which causes four gusts of cutting wind to be released. The more chakra that is expelled, the stronger the air currents become.
